Usability Field Test

In my Web Publishing class, each of us conducted a usability field test on 2 people, as well as an open card sort.
Our client was LaurenBateman.com, an online guitar instruction website.
Grab a cup of coffee/tea and take a look at my report that explains the test preparation, environments, tester details, task breakdown, findings, and suggestions!

The entire usability test was great practice for me, but I really loved conducting the open card sort. It was a technique I'd never utilized before.
After conducting the card sort on myself and my two testers, I prepared a content hierarchy to recommend to Lauren Bateman.
This was great practice for thinking through what a user might be looking for at any given time.
I even took the liberty of renaming certain pages & header tabs to create navigation that is easy to use.
